The Vice President Visited Persepolis World Heritage Site

Vice President and the head of Iran Cultural Heritage, Handicraft and Tourism Organization (CHHTO), Zahra Ahmadipour visited Persepolis and its museum at the first day of her travel to Fars Province in April 19, 2017. She believed that the board of trustees at cultural-historical sites will increase receiving funds for these sites.

Public Relations Department of Fars CHHTO declared that the head of Persepolis World Heritage Base, Masoud Rezaei-Monfared gave information about this world heritage site to the vice president and tell her about the conservation and protection process of the site.

She also visited Persepolis museum with the presence of Marvdasht Governor, Ali Akbar Najibzade , Marvdasht member of Parliament, Mohammad Mehdi Borumandi and the heads of other departments and offices of Marvdasht and she finally signed the memorial book of the museum.

She said “the board of trustees in cultural-historical sites will improve financial resources and will be helpful for decision making in these sites”.

She added “the board of trustees not only will help keeping the current and available resources but also will attract and receive the help of other resources”.

Zahra Ahmadipour declared that “national and international tourists are very enthusiastic of visiting inscribed world heritage sites”. She continues “visiting provinces periodically is for evaluating limitations and problems of protecting and conserving historical monuments, evaluating the capacities for development and for consistency between administrations”. She also said these evaluations make future planning and regular executions available.
