The head of Persepolis World Heritage Site said: Nowrooz Volunteer Tour Guides Project at Persepolis has attracted the visitors during the last decade.
Masoud Rezaei Monfared continued: 100 volunteer tour guides in two groups (some of them were fixed tour guides for a special part of these sites as one group and others guide the tourists all around the sites) were the Nowrooz tourists’ host and their activity finished at the end of Nowrooz (1396 (SH)).
He said volunteer tour guides attended the training courses and after learning historic information about historical places, especially Persepolis, Naqsh-e Rostam and Naqsh-e Rajab and after passing the final exam, started their work at Persepolis and then hosted the visitors and gave them useful information about each place of the sites.
The head of volunteer tour guides, Arabpoor, said: the attitude of Persepolis Site toward this movement is important to consider through three points of view: the first is the visitors satisfaction, the second is training manpower and developing their scientific information and the third is to provide foregrounds of job and occupation for those who got familiar with this profession, who can enter this job and industry after attending the professional training courses and receiving Tour Guide Card.
